Off-it.org. Whatcha wanna know ?

A recent report on HIV patients found that cannabis helps relieve the chronic foot pains associated with the disease.

Regular Pot smokers would of course already of its pain relief, But this could be a step forward for anybody suffering with HIV or any other chronic pain disease.

The research was conducted by researchers at the University of California, San Francisco. Where they took 50 HIV patient for seven days and gave half of them cannabis joints to smoke, whilst the other half got a placebo that looked exactly the same as cannabis but lacked the active ingredient.
So for seven days the patients were held at the hospital and given 3 joints a day. All pre-rolled and all exactly the same. Except of course the placebo.
Majority of the patients said they felt better after smoking the joint. Where as the placebo users found that it did next to nothing. One of the patients admitted that they smoked cannabis for years to help ease the pain the disease had brought them.

Chief scientist at the Office of National Drug Control Policy. Claimed that people who smoked cannabis were prone to bacteria infections, He also didnt think the size of the study was convincing. (do i sense this guy just doesn’t like the idea of patients using cannabis and would rather they pay out for expensive meds?).

So hopefully they will continue testing cannabis to see what other medical uses it has. Rather than constantly focus on the bad sides of the drug.

First of all apologies for taking so long to come back by here and update this blog. I have had alot of stuff going on through the last few months and finally got settled down.

Not just real life stuff has been getting in the way, also internet responsibilities.

Yes i intend to reply to everybodys comments. Theres just so many of them. Thank you.

Secondly if your interested on what i have been doing over the time that i last updated here, Here’s where i have been.

Early November i launched a news site. Namely Bitesizenews.net. There we cover topics such as celebrity gossip, whos in rehab and whos not. And pretty much what you expect from other celebrity news sites. We also offer budding stars, whether they be authors or musicians who wish to promote their band or book further. Interested parties can contact me regarding this service.

Then after we got a MySpace account, i made groovycomments.com mostly so we had somewhere to grab glitter graphics from. Yes its limited in whats available but it became popular enough to use up a few gig in bandwidth in a couple of days. Since then we switched to imageshack to host our images. The collection is growing and if you like to submit your own please contact me at the following address (staff AT bitesizenews DOT net)

Since creating that site i gave it away to my girlfriend Vikki. One so she had a project to keep on top of. Two so i could concentrate my efforts on the other sites and get my newest site of the bunch up and running.

The newest site is all about working from home. Yer i know there are lots of sites out there that offer the same information, Difference is i am not asking for an email address like most of the other sites do, and i am not asking for any money. Meaning that you wont get spammed or pay a penny for reading our info. There is simply too many people spending cash on ebooks that promise them the earth and doesn’t deliver. So what about off-it.org ?

Well i am here now and intend to give it a huge face lift. Starting with cutting down the amount of crap that distracts you the reader from what you came here to read about. Massive cutting down on sidebar content, Upgrading of several plugins that are running. Not to mention the template change i have planned. All in all it should give a more appealing look for the reader and alot easier on the eyes.

The main index page is getting redone to provide all relevant links and the most recent topics from off-it.org and also from Bitesizenews.net, Giving the page a much more dynamic effect.

For anybody that actually cares what I have been upto in the months passed, other than promoting my websites heres the info.

After moving in with Vikki, we had lots to sort out, most of which have only just come to a head. We are planning on moving in a few weeks maybe a month to a different bigger flat. (Currently a 1 bedroom 1 living room flat on the 11th floor). Hopefully we get given a 2 bedroom flat on a lower floor. You guys have got no idea how fkn annoying it is to walk up 11 flights of stairs. The lifts always break, a major factor why i wanna be lower.

The laptop blew up. I dunno wtf happened to it. i just know i was coding for a site then suddenly it all went tits up and it never came back. I managed to back up all my documents before it died a final death. Seems to be something in the boot sector of the HDD. We called HP (Makers of said annoying laptop) to see if they would fix it. They said sure they could fix it, just send along the laptop along with nearly 300 quid and they will sort it. All well and good but i don’t have that cash handy right now.

To top it all off, the current machine we use to connect to the internet is playing up. Suffering from heavy overheating and there seems to be no clue as to how to solve it. I Tried getting the dust out the CPU fan as well as the power supply fan. But still it crashes. Geeez PC’s hate me!

For all my real life friends out there. I Miss you all dearly and often wish i could drop by and visit. But things are different now and i live at the opposite end of the country. Katt : I tried calling but got no answer when i was last in town. I Guess you was probably out or something. I hope your all ok and life is treating you all well. Its been nearly a year since we all sat down and had a good smoke together. Hopefully those days will come again. But right now i am working on becoming the first internet millionaire that YOU know .

Have You ever Wondered How People Have All 15 Medals But Only Between 200 And 3000 Points? Well These People Cheat To Get Them. Most Are in Clans But What The Hey. How Do They Do it? Easy It Seems It Goes Like This.

Add Someone As A Friend And Message Them. Then Ask Them To Help You Get Your Medals And You Will help Them get Theirs. Other Do It All The Time. Just Check Any member From The Clan GBR_ . Such As GBR_Menace Or Maybe GBR_Sky (Or Any GBR_ Member) You WilL notice They Suck At The Game But Have All Their Medals. Strange Eh :p . What Other Clans Do It? Most of Them [DLS] [LDS] TM_ And Many Many More They Usually Only get A Few Points And Die Lots. Not What A Player With 15 Medals Would Do . It Should Be Kill Lots And Die Little.  The BEst Case Of This I Have Seen Was From R.I.P Thanos. Who Has An Amazing 15 Medals But Less Than 1000 Points. His Average Score In games I Have played With Him? 3 Maybe 4 Points With 12 -18 Deaths.  Its For Reasons Like This That Game Is Starting To Suck Along With The Glitches.

Ever Wondered Why it Says Connection to Server Has Been lost? Heh, Thats Somebody Crashing The Server. Or Wondered How People Get So May Points With No Kills And No Deaths And no Flags? Yer Thats The Health Box Glitch.  Or How People Get Inside Buildings And Shoot Out But You Can’t Shoot In?

Battlefield 2 Was A Good Game With Poor Programming And Been Hosted At Gamespy Is Just A Joke.

It Seems That I Am Not The Only One In this Country That Thinks THat Drugs Should Be Legalized. The Times HAve Written An Article That Goes Hand In Hand WIth Mine.(They WIll Claim They Wrote It First Though :p ).

They Say That Drug Prices Are Dropping And DrugUsage Is Rising.. Well Hello Its Took Them This Long To Work It Out? Check This Post About Social Inclusion And How To Control The Problems.

The Times Claim Its Tony Blairs Fault And His “10 Year War On Drugs” But The Problem Has Been Around For A long Time.> Waay Before Tony Blair Came Along. This Is Just Their Latest Chance To Give A Blow To The Government. We All Know He Sucks We All Know He Is A Bad Prime Minister. BUt Thats Just Governments Isnt It?

Britain Is HAving A HArd Time Getting Cannabis Right Now. And With A SHortage Like The Current One Drug Users Wont Just Give Up And Get On With It. Instead They Will Look To Other Drugs To Fuel Their Highs. Now Dont Get ME Wrong, Not All Pot Smokers Will Turn Into Cocaine Sniffing Heroin Taking Shells OF people. But The Weaker Ones Will And The Ones That Are Too Easily Persuaded By Temptation.

They Have Numbers And Statistics That I Wont Bore You With Here.

The Drugs Problem In This Country Has Been Here Long Before Tony Blair, And No Doubt Will Continue As Time Goes By. With Misinformation And All The if’ Buts And Maybes That Anti Drugs Campaigners Protest So Strongly About.  The Real Reaosn In My Eyes As To Why The GOvernment Wont Change Their Mind IS Simple. They Have Spent Alot oF Time And Money Telling Us The “Possible” Dangers OF Cannabis. They Even Made A new Commercial Which Probably Cost Them Alot OF Money To Produce.  Wouldn’t They Look Silly Legalising It Now? Sure They Would. But The NExt Political Party To Take Power Wouldn’t. Especially If They HAven’t Been In Power For Quite Some Time.

 Hence The Liberal Democrats Who Stated A Few Years Back They WOuld Strive TO Make Cannabis Legal To A Degree. But WHat Kind OF Degree? No One Really Knows.

Possible Legalisation Efforts Could Include Allowing A Smoker To Grow Their Own Plants In A Limited Quantity. Like Maybe 4 Plants Any More Than That And Its Illegal. Or Making iT readily Available At Pharmacy Type Shops. Cutting OUt The Dealers And The Illegal Trade. This In My Eyes Would Only Count FOr Cannabis.

As For Other Drugs. Well The Pharmacy Doesn’t Seem Like Such A Bad Idea Does It? Heroin Addicts And Cocaine Users Could All Easily Go And Collect Their Drugs And Pay The Government A Charge Much How They Pay Dealers Nowadays. This WOuld Allow The Government To Regulate What Strength The Drugs Were Getting Rid OF Cutting Agents And unintended Overdoses.

Money Saved From Policing The Streets And Throwing Dealers In Jail Could Go Towards Educating Youngsters About Drugs Properly. Not THe Current Situation We Have Now Where Cannabis “Could” Damage Your Mind. But More Along OF THe Lines OF “Heroin WIll Destroy Your Life And Others Around You.”.

Anybody Found Selling The Drugs Could Be Sent To Jail Then, Same As Dealers Of Prescribed Medications. And People Looking For Help Would No Doubt Have A Better Chance Of Getting The Help They So Much Desire.

How Much Do You Think Is Spent In The Uk Keeping Drugs Illegal? Thousands? Hundreds Of ThousandS? Millions Maybe? Think Again . The Bill Runs Into Billions. From Police Officers Chasing A User With Less Than A Gram On Them To Full Scale Arrests And Wrongful Arrests Resulting In People Sueing The Police Forces.

The Governments Current Plan Is To Arrest Everyone For Everything.  Is That How You Want Your Tax Money Spent?

The Way The Money Has Been Spent Is 1 Of The Main Reasons Why Drugs Will Remain Illegal.*Sigh*

Maybe one Day We Can All Grow Our Own Weed And Happily Get High Without The Risk Of Police Arresting People For Smoking A Plant That Has Grown Wildly Across The Globe For Hundreds Of Years. Do You Think Oregano Would Be Made Illegal If A Survey Foun It Caused Damage To The Brain? Or Made The User Addicted? I Doubt It.

Cannabis Isn’t A Gateway Drug. Its More of A Gateway Crime. For The Police It As A Way To Gain Entry To Your Premises When They Suspect Something Else Is Wrong but Can’t Prove It. They Come in Looking For Cannabis And Leave Happy With Their Original Target Despite What It Is. And If They Don’t Find What They Went in For? Well They Can Always Use Cannabis As An Excuse For Been There In The First Place.

As It Stands, The Dealers Are Getting Rich And Cutting Their Drugs With Whatever They Like. As There Is No Regulation.
